Shamp, Assistant Secretary,,Non-Collusion.Affidavit was in order and a 5% Bid Bond was submitted. TOTAL AMOUNT OF BID: $16,907.70 WARNER & SONS, INC. Bid was signed by Jack Warner, P.O. Box 87 President and Robert Warner, Elkhart, Indiana Secretary, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a 5% Bid Bond was submitted. TOTAL AMOUNT OF BID: $20,909.99 MID CITY EXCAVATING CORPORATION Bid was signed by D. Jack Davis, 3123 East Michigan Blvd. Vice -President and Beth Vicki Michigan City, Indiana 46360 Stanage, Assistant Secretary, Non-Collusion.Affidavit was in order and a 5% Bid Bond was submitted. TOTAL AMOUNT OF BID: $17,357.50 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above bids were referred to the Engineering Department for review and recommendation. AWARD BID - CUSHING STREET IMPROVEMENTS.(N H.S.) PROJECT In a letter to the Board, Mr, Neil Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, recommended the Board award the bid of McIntyre & Jones Construction Company, 2526 West 6th Street, Mishawaka, Indiana 46544, in the amount of $13,887.88. Mr. Leszczynski advised that bids for this project were opened at the Board meeting held on August 1, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above bid was awarded. AWARD BID - CAR WASHES FOR CITY VEHICLES In a letter to the Board, Chief of Police Dan D. Thompson recommended the Board award the bids of Hi -Speed Auto Wash and Don's Marathon & Car Wash. Hi -Speed Auto was the only vendor submitting a bid for full -service car wash and it is recommended that the City retain their services in this area. Hi -Speed Auto offers these services at two (2) locations, 609 East LaSalle and 2615 L.W.W., Mishawaka, Indiana. They also offer a wet -wash only at 1334 Chimes Blvd. It is recom- mended that all three (3) locations of Hi -Speed be used. It is also recommended that the bid of Don's Marathon and Car Wash, Inc. located at 1836 South Michigan Street be accepted. This is for wet -wash only and the services have been utilized extensively by police personnel. Mr. Leszczynski advised that bids for this service were opened at the Board meeting held on August 1, 1983. The bids awarded are as follows: HI -SPEED AUTO WASH - Full -service car wash, 0-100 units per mo. $2.75 ea. Full -service car wash, 100 or more units per mo.- 2.50 ea. Wet Wash only, 0-100 units per month 2.00 ea. Wet Wash only, 100 or more units per month 1.75 ea.
