rFM REGULAR MEETING APRIL 4, 1983 APPROVE EASEMENT AGREEMENT - NORFOLK AND WESTERN RAILWAY CO. Mr. Kernan presented to the Board an Agreement between the Norfolk and Western Railway Company and the City of South Bend for a private grade crossing. He further advised that the easement agreement will provide the access for trucks into the retention basin on the ethanol plant site. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the . above Agreement was approved. REQUEST FOR BLOCK PARTY REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Ms. Brenda McGee of 324 Cottage Grove, requested that Cottage Grove from Oak Street to the dead end in the alley be closed from 3:00 to 6:OO p.m. on April 17, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E. recommended the Board release the Contractor's Bond for Willie Crumbly, effective April 4, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bond was released as recommended. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS Mr. Kernan advsied that the following Secondhand Dealers applica- tions were being presented to the Board for approval: Secondhand Dealer - The Little Shop 3604 Mishawaka Ave. Bon Bon Antiques 2224 Mishawaka Ave. Bill's Furniture & Appliances 303 S. Chapin Grandpa's Goldmine 3602 Mishawaka Ave. Neat Stuff 804 W. Indiana He further stated that favorable reports have been received from the Police Department, Fire Department, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Department of Code Enforcement. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND Mr. Kernan stated that favorable recommendations were received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department, and Department of Code Enforcement for the renewal application of Fisher Bros. Fisheries Inc., PO. Box 965, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Mr. Kernan further stated that the dates of the operation of the stand are April 8-9, 1983 and -it will be located at the Kings Cellar parking lot at 1900 Lincolnway East. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance. n J 1
