rFM <br />REGULAR <br />MEETING <br />APRIL 4, <br />1983 <br />APPROVE <br />EASEMENT AGREEMENT <br />- NORFOLK AND WESTERN RAILWAY <br />CO. <br />Mr. Kernan presented to the Board an Agreement between the <br />Norfolk and Western Railway Company and the City of South Bend <br />for a private grade crossing. He further advised that the <br />easement agreement will provide the access for trucks into <br />the retention basin on the ethanol plant site. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the . <br />above Agreement was approved. <br />REQUEST FOR BLOCK PARTY REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Brenda McGee of 324 Cottage Grove, <br />requested that Cottage Grove from Oak Street to the dead end <br />in the alley be closed from 3:00 to 6:OO p.m. on April 17, 1983. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E. recommended the Board release the <br />Contractor's Bond for Willie Crumbly, effective April 4, 1983. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above bond was released as recommended. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Kernan advsied that the following Secondhand Dealers applica- <br />tions were being presented to the Board for approval: <br />Secondhand Dealer - The Little Shop <br />3604 Mishawaka Ave. <br />Bon Bon Antiques <br />2224 Mishawaka Ave. <br />Bill's Furniture & Appliances <br />303 S. Chapin <br />Grandpa's Goldmine <br />3602 Mishawaka Ave. <br />Neat Stuff <br />804 W. Indiana <br />He further stated that favorable reports have been received from <br />the Police Department, Fire Department, Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting and the Department of Code Enforcement. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />Office for issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Kernan stated that favorable recommendations were received <br />from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department, and <br />Department of Code Enforcement for the renewal application of <br />Fisher Bros. Fisheries Inc., PO. Box 965, Green Bay, Wisconsin. <br />Mr. Kernan further stated that the dates of the operation of the <br />stand are April 8-9, 1983 and -it will be located at the Kings <br />Cellar parking lot at 1900 Lincolnway East. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />Office for issuance. <br />n <br />J <br />1 <br />
