57 <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 29, 1982 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - <br />SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of the Neighborhood Code <br />Enforcement Office requested permission to advertise for <br />the sale of approximately 10 abandoned vehicles, 5 of which <br />were valued at over $100.00, and all of which were being <br />stored at the Hurwich Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. <br />It was noted that all vehicles had been stored more than the <br />required 30 days, identification checks had been run for <br />auto theft, and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the request was approved and a date of December <br />13, 1982, established for the receipt of sealed bids. <br />APPROVE MICHIANA LUNG RUN - AMERICAN LU14G ASSOCIATION <br />(JUNE 11, 1983) <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended approval of the annual Michiana Lung <br />Run scheduled for June 11, 1983, sponsored by the American <br />Lung Association at 8:00 a.m., in accordance with the route <br />submitted, utilizing Pinhook Park, Leeper Park, Riverside <br />Drive, Boland and Ribourde. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the run was approved as <br />recommended, subject to the filing of the appropriate insurance. <br />APPROVE BIKE-A-THON FOR APRIL 30, 1983 (CYCLING AGAINST CANCER) <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended approval of the date of April 30, 1983, <br />for a Cycling Against Cancer Bike-A-Thon being sponsored by <br />Mary Detert, 2915 Bonds Avenue, subject to a review by the <br />Police Traffic Division and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />of the bike route proposed to be used for the event, and the <br />submission of this material prior to February 1, 1983. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing 19 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of <br />the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It <br />was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up <br />the lots and had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the environmental <br />list was filed. <br />RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND - DAVID GOODRICH <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., recommended the release of the <br />Contractor's Bond of David Goodrich as requested. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Contractor's Bond was released. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for <br />issuance: <br />John A.
