`5 3 REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 29, 1982 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m., on Monday, November 29, 1982, by President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. Joseph E. Kernan present. Also present was Assistant City Attorney Carolyn Pfotenhauer. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the minutes of the November 22,_1982,.regular meeting of the Board were approved as submitted. OPENING OF BIDS - STREET SWEEPERS, DUMP BODIES, HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT This was the date set for receiving bids for the purchase of two street sweepers for the Street Department and dump bodies, hydraulic systems and other related equipment for four Street Department cabs and chassis. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: Pies Equpment Co., Inc. Bid was signed'by Norman G. 2804 N. Catherwood Avenue Dahlmann, non -collusion affidavit Indianapolis, Ind. 46219 was in order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Two Elgin Pelican Street Sweepers, including trade $93,704.00 Indiana Equipment Co., Inc. Bid was signed by Stanley C. Salomon, 414 Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, Ind. non -collusion 46801 order and a 10% affidavit was in bid bond was submitted. One or More Mobil Model HLD-1 Sweeper powered by John Deere Model 4276T Diesel engine, including trade $42,392.00/each One Mobil Model HLD-1 Sweeper equipped as above, including trade $39,392.00 MacDonald Machinery Co. Inc.Bid was signed by B.T. Johnson, 3911 Limestone Drive non -collusion affidavit was in Fort Wayne, Ind. 46809 order and a 10% bid bond was submitted. Two FMC Model 993 High Dump Sweeper, including trade $85,000.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above street sweeper bids were referred to the Street Department for review and recommendation. Neil's Automotive Service Bid was signed by Patrick J. Peters, 167 E. Kalamazoo non -collusion affidavit was in Kalamazoo, Mich. 49007 order and a cashier's check in the amount of $2,880.00 was submitted. Remount four underbody blade assemblies, Root Model F-5 $ 1,600.00 Remount four Hustin Quick Hitches 2,200.00 Install four crankshaft drive hydraulic systems 7,400.00 Install 10' x 7' Peabody Galion Model NEAP6 dump bodies 17,600.00
