32 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 8, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public <br />9:30 a.m., on Monday, November 9, 1982, b <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />y <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />and carried, the release of an easement to Indiana & Michigan <br />Electric Company over the salt storage building at Municipal <br />Services Facility was added to the agenda following the <br />consulting agreements on the Ethanol Plant Project. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the minutes of the November 1, 1982, regular <br />meeting of the Board were approved as submitted. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (303 E. CALVERT) <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the sale of the <br />city -owned lot located at 303 East Calvert Street. The Clerk <br />tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be <br />sufficient. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the city's offering <br />price was $450.00. The following bid was opened and publicly <br />read: <br />Thomas Perkins Bid: $100.00 <br />306 E. Milton <br />South Bend, Ind. 46613 <br />It was noted that Mr. Perkins was an adjacent property owner. <br />Upon a motion rude by Mr. Tiernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the Clerk was instructed to make a counter-offer <br />to Mr. Perkins in the amount of $300.00 for said lot. <br />APPROVE INTENDED USE OF REVENUE SHARING FUNDS - <br />TRUCK LIFT REPAIRS ($14,000.00) <br />This was the date set for holding a public hearing on the <br />roposed use of revenue sharing funds in the anount of <br />14,000.00 during the calendar year 1982. The Clerk tendered <br />proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and <br />the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. Mr. <br />Leszczynski noted that the amount of $14,000.00 would be used <br />to repair the lifts on trucks within the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting. In accordance with guidelines adopted for such <br />use of revenue sharing funds, information about this public <br />hearing was forwarded to the following senior citizen groups <br />with the request that the notice be posted: Foster Grandparents, <br />Hansel Neighborhood, Senior Citizens Group of LaSalle Park, <br />harvest House Centers and Howard Park Senior Citizens Center. <br />There was no one present to speak against the proposed expenditure. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the public hearing was closed and the Clerk was <br />instructed to forward the minutes of this public hearing to <br />the Controller's Office and the City Clerk. <br />AWARD BID - DE -MUCKING OF ETHANOL PLANT SITE <br />(WOODRUFF & SONS, INC.) <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded.by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the low bid of Woodruff & Sons, Inc., in the <br />amount of $1,011.117.90 for the Ethanol Plant Site De -Mucking <br />Project for which bids were received by the Board on march 1, <br />1982, was awarded. <br />
