REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 4, 1984 <br />� '' <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 1984, by President John E. Leszczynski, <br />with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. Michael L. Vance <br />present. Also present was Assistant City Attorney Carolyn V. <br />Pfotenhauer. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, <br />the minutes of the May 29, 1984, regular meeting of the Board <br />were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ONE (1) AERIAL APPARATUS, MINIMUM <br />100' FOR CITY OF SOUTH BEND FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening sealed bids for <br />the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br />County News which were found.to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />PETER PIRSCH & SONS COMPANY Bid was signed by W. Andrew Sale, <br />1308 35th Street President, Non -Collusion Affidavit <br />Kenosha, WI .53140 was in order and a 10% Bid Bond <br />was submitted. <br />BID SUBMITTED: <br />1 1984 Pirsch 110'.Skytop Quint per South $214,635.00 <br />Bend specs plus 1250 GPM Pumping Equip. <br />Alternate Bid: <br />1984 Pirsch 110' Skytop Aerial per South <br />Bend specifications. <br />Option 1 - Units proposed include red Whelen <br />Max Beam strobe lights mounted on cab down. <br />If these are acceptable in Lieu of Mars 888. <br />DEDUCT $424.00 <br />Option 2 - If electronic siren with 2 - 100 <br />watt speakers is acceptable in Lieu of <br />Federal Q2B siren. This funding <br />will continue until unit is delivered to <br />City. If funding is for 30 days, city will <br />receive $1,857.40 (in interest).
