203 1 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 7, 1984 <br />On May 8, 1984, "No Parking" signs will be posted <br />at various electioneering areas for purposes of <br />electionboardand other related workers. As of <br />this date, the locations are: <br />1. The north side of 200 W. Jefferson <br />2. The east side of 100 S. Lafayette <br />3. The west side of the north 1/2 block <br />of 100 N. Michigan <br />4. Both sides of the east 1/2 block of <br />100 W. Colfax <br />Other locations as requested will be cleared by <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for parking <br />prohibitation. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, Mr. Wadzinski's recommendation was accepted and <br />approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF SPANISH-SPEAKING USHER'S CLUB OF ST. STEPHEN'S <br />PARISH TO CLOSE ALLEYS FOR MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION, MAY 13, 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the above referred <br />to request submitted to the Board on April 30, 1984 and recommends <br />approval. It was noted that the appropriate barricades will be <br />delivered and are to be set-up and removed by the Petitioner. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, Mr. Wadzinski's recommendation was accepted and the <br />request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF UNITED RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY <br />OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY TO HOLD MARCH - MAY 20, 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of <br />United Religious Community to conduct a march on May 20, 1984 <br />and recommends approval subject to the marchers using sidewalks <br />and obeying all traffic and pedestrian laws. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, Mr. <br />Wadzinski's recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF ATHLETIC ANNEX TO CONDUCT <br />"BLOOD RUN" - MAY 13. 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of <br />Mr. Dean A. Reinke, President of the Athletic Annex to hold <br />the "Blood Run" on May 13, 1984, said request submitted to <br />the Board on March.19, 1984 and recommends approval. It was <br />noted that City Controller Michael L. Vance also recommends <br />that the.run be approved as submitted. Upon_a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />recommendations were accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following three (3) secondhand <br />dealers license applications have been received: <br />NAME: Antique World, Inc. <br />BY: Mary Ann Melching <br />ADDRESS: 1122 Mishawaka Avenue <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: used furniture <br />
