REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 23. 1984
F
L
1
Board considered him a good risk.- But, the Board's concern at
this time is that Mr. Dickerson is getting back to past problems.
However, the Board did not know the specifics of this particular
incident which Mr. McFadden outlined today. Mr. Hill indicated
that he was certainly willing to give Mr. Dickerson the benefit
of the doubt but there would be serious problems if there were
subsequent offenses.Mr. Hill indicated that even though this
incident might appear insignificant, the Board must look at the
whole record when it reviews these types of license applications.
It was indicated that any future offenses may result in Mr.
Dickerson's taxicab driver's license being suspended. Upon a
motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried,
the Board's April 9, 198.4 decision to deny a taxicab driver's
license to Mr. Dickerson was rescinded and the Taxicab Driver's
License application was approved. Mr. Vance abstained from
voting on this matter.
ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 8-1984 - DISPOSAL OF
OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT (DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT)
Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Department of Code Enforcement
has requested permission to declare obsolete and dispose of
office and miscellaneous equipment that is broken and no longer
needed by the Department. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,
seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following Resolution No.
8-1984 was adopted:
RESOLUTION NO. 8-1984
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public
Works that the following equipment is no longer needed by
the Department of Code Enforcement of the City of South Bend:
ITEM SERIAL # CITY I.D.
8 Kodak cameras None
1 Polaroid camera None
1 Moore receipt register D60661
1 Victor adding machine 1526-478 694
1 Underwood -Olivetti adding machine 17563 647
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits the disposal of
personal property no longer needed or obsolete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public
Works of the City of South Bend that the above equipment
is no longer needed by the City of South Bend.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Code
Enforcement of the City of South Bend be authorized to
dispose of said equipment and remove same from the City
Inventory.
DATED this 23rd day of April, 1984.
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
s/ John E.
