96 <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 13, 1984 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:32 a.m, on Monday, February 13, 1984 by President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. <br />Joseph E. Kernan present. Also present was Assistant City Attorney <br />Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer. <br />FAREWELL TO BOARD MEMBER JOSEPH E. KERNAN <br />As Board member Joseph E. Kernan will be leaving the City Administra- <br />tion on February 17, 1984, today's meeting is the last meeting Mr. <br />Kernan will be attending. Mr. Leszczynski, on behalf of the Board, <br />thanked Mr. Kernan for his many years of service and dedication to <br />the work of the Board. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the minutes of the February 6,.1984 regular meeting of the Board <br />were approved. <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the sale of approximately sixteen (16) abandoned vehicles, <br />fifteen (15) of which are valued at over One Hundred Dollars <br />($100.00) and all of which have been stored at the Hurwich Impound- <br />ment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. The Clerk tendered <br />proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. Following that <br />review, upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following bids were awarded: <br />Steve & Gene's - Vehicle No. 2 $30.75 <br />4 20.75 <br />11 20.75 <br />12 20.75 <br />13 25.75 <br />TOTAL: $118.75 <br />*It was noted that Vehicle No. 5 was removed from the list as it <br />was claimed by its owner. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
