<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the following twenty-two (22) handicapped
<br />parking permit applications were approved and referred to
<br />the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of permits:

<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the following six (6) traffic control devices
<br />were approved:
<br />INSTALL NO TURN ON RED - For Westbound Jefferson at
<br />Lafayette. (Pedestrian traffic precludes turn on
<br />red with safety. Effective December 19, 1983 at 7 A.M.)
<br />REMOVE NO TURN ON RED - For Eastbound Jefferson at
<br />Lafayette. (No longer applicable due to two-way
<br />reversion. Effective December 19, 1983 at 7 A.M.)
<br />REMOVE NO TURN ON RED - For Southbound Main Street
<br />at Jefferson turning east. (Not applicable when
<br />Jefferson.becomes two-way. Effective December
<br />19, 1983 at 7 A.M.)
<br />INSTALL NO TURN ON RED - For Southbound Main Street
<br />at Jefferson, turning west. (Pedestrian traffic
<br />precludes turn on red with safety. Effective
<br />December 19, 1983 at 7 A.M.)
<br />INSTALL STREET REOPENED TO TWO WAY THRU TRAFFIC -
<br />100 S. Michigan. (100 S. Michigan St. is now
<br />open to two-way traffic from Washington to Jefferson)
<br />REVISE TO TWO-WAY TRAFFIC - Jefferson, 100 E., 100 W.,
<br />200 W., 300 W., and 400 W. (Also removal of all one
<br />way eastbound signage). (Jefferson to revert to two
<br />way traffic on December 19, 1983 pending completion
<br />of signal changes).
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that all of these traffic control
<br />devices related to the new two-way traffic system on Jefferson
<br />Boulevard and 100 block of South Michigan Street.
