5 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 15, 1985 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - OPEN AIR STAND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license application has <br />been received: <br />NAME: FLOWER STAND/UNIFICATION CHURCH <br />BY: RICKY J. SORENSEN <br />ADDRESS: 2613 South Michigan Street <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT: 1107 Lincolnway West <br />DATES: April - June 1, 1985 <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Selling fresh flowers <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the above <br />application. Additionally provided with the application was a <br />letter of permission from the property owner. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above <br />license application was approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of a permit. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />and carried, the following two (2) handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of permits: <br />1. Betty Beckage, 2117 S. Warren, S.B. <br />2. Sally J. Vance, 2610 Schumacher, Mish. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for Alfred C. Shambery be approved effective <br />April 15, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Vance and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was <br />approved. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of fifty-three (53) properties cleaned from April 8, 1985 to <br />April 12, 1985 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Ms. Jane Cleaver, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job <br />Training Program submitted a list containing thirty (30) claims <br />and recommended approval. Additionally, Deputy City Controller <br />Carol M. Sanders submitted Claim Docket No. 8349 through Claim <br />Docket No. 8860 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the claims were <br />approved and the report filed. <br />
