Nawrot, PE & PLS, Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Ireland Road at High Street emergency repairs <br />Project No. 116-083F <br />DATE: October 21, 2016 <br />On October 20, 2016, the Board of Public Works opened and read quotes for the above <br />project. The Division of Engineering has reviewed them and found them correct except for the <br />quote of LaPorte Construction Co., Inc. did not submit a 5% Bid Bond and their quote had an <br />incorrect extension of line 5 which increased their quote by $75.00 to $108,390.00. <br />The quotes ranked as follows: <br />Qouter <br />Amount <br />1. Walsh & Kell , Inc. <br />$84,778.40 <br />2. Sal a Construction Co., Inc. <br />$92,850.00 <br />3. HRP Construction Co., Inc. <br />$98,589.00 <br />4. LaPorte Construction Co. Inc. <br />$108,390.00 <br />The Division of Engineering recommends that the Board award the contract to Walsh & <br />Kelly, Inc., the lowest responsive/responsible quote, in the amount of 84 778.40. <br />Division of Engineering has appropriated sufficient funds from the COIT fund <br />(404.0608.431.31-10 ). <br />Enclosure <br />Tabulation <br />
