EXHIBIT "K" <br />FIBER OPTICS SPECIFICATIONS <br />GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Materials and Equipment: Materials and equipment shall be the standard products of a manufacturer <br />regularly engaged in the manufacture of the products. All materials and equipment furnished shall <br />be new of first quality, of the latest design and be completely free from defects in material and poor <br />workmanship. All like pieces of equipment shall be of the same type and manufacturer to assure <br />uniformity, interchangeability of components, single responsibility, and most satisfactory service. <br />Contractor Qualifications: The fiber optic cable installation shall be supervised by trained and <br />experienced personnel. The cable terminations shall be done by qualified technicians. <br />Code Requirements: The Fiber Optic installation shall be in accordance with or exceed all minimal <br />requirements of State codes, National codes, and manufacturer codes as applicable. <br />Miscellaneous Equipment: The Contractor shall furnish and install all necessary miscellaneous <br />equipment to make a complete and operating installation in accordance with the plans, standard <br />sheets, standard specifications, special provisions, and accepted good practice of the industry. <br />RECORDS <br />Cable Records: All cable records shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. Detailed records shall <br />be kept of fiber optic cable reference locations between termination points.
