Leszczynski, Director, Public Works, requested that <br />the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for crack sealing of <br />various streets in South Bend. He noted that the bidder will <br />provide labor and equipment and the City will provide materials. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />and carried, the above request was approved. <br />REQUEST TO CONDUCT MARCH - MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. CELEBRATION <br />-REFERRED <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director, Office <br />of Community Affairs, advised that on behalf of the Martin Luther <br />King, Jr., Celebration Committee, she is requesting permission to <br />conduct a March from the County -City Building to the Century <br />Center on January 19, 1987 at 2:00 p.m. She stated that the <br />March will adhere to traffic controls and will be conducted on <br />the sidewalks. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above request was referred to <br />the necessary City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION, DON'T DRIVE DRUNK - 1400 N. Michigan, <br />east side, 200' north of Angela. (Sponsored by St. <br />Joseph's High School Students Against Drunk Driving). <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Grant at Linden. <br />("T" Intersection). <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Huey at Linden. <br />(Offset Cross Street). <br />4. NEW INSTALLATION, STOP SIGN - On Sadie at Linden. <br />("T"Intersection). <br />5. REMOVAL OF NO PARKING, REVISED TO NO PARKING -STOPPING - <br />STANDING - 3200-3500 Westmoor. (Requested by Allied <br />Bendix Aerospace, Chester Machnowski). <br />
