<br />Quinn, Assistant Secretary, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in
<br />order and a 5% Bid Bond was submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard
<br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Engineering
<br />Department for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID - SAMPLE STREET REPAIRS PROJECT
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, Director, Division
<br />of Engineering, recommended that the Board award the low bid of
<br />Walsh & Kelly, Inc., 24358 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, in
<br />the amount of $140,805.00 for the above referred to project. It
<br />was noted that bids for the above referred to project were opened
<br />by the Board on September 9, 1986. Upon a motion made by Ms.
<br />Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the
<br />recommendation was accepted and the bid awarded, subject to the
<br />filing of the appropriate Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor
<br />and Materials Payment Bond.
<br />AWARD BID - MICHIGAN STREET_ IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE II PROJECT
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, Director, Division
<br />of Engineering, recommended that the Board award the low bid of
<br />Carl J. Reinke & Sons, Inc., 1216 West Sample Street, P.O. Box
<br />3095, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $654,095.19 for the
<br />above referred to project. It was noted that bids for the above
<br />referred to project were opened by the Board on September 9,
<br />1986. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the
<br />bid awarded, subject to the filing of the appropriate Insurance,
<br />Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond.
<br />AWARD BID - DE-ICING MATERIALS FOR SOUTH BEND STREET DEPARTMENT
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. William Penn, Director, Division of
<br />Transportation, recommended that the following bids be awarded:

<br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above recommendation
<br />was accepted and the bids awarded.
