REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 15, 1986 <br />It was further noted that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and <br />the Department of Code Enforcement have reviewed the above <br />referred to license applications but the Board is still awaiting <br />the recommendations of the Police Department. <br />Therefore, based on the above information, upon a motion made by <br />Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above license <br />applications were approved subject to favorable recommendations <br />from the Police Department and subject to Mr. Fisher and Mr. <br />Finton locating their open air stands on property other than the <br />public right-of-way. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF 1-WAY SOUTHBOUND, REVISED TO 2-WAY <br />TRAFFIC - 400 S. Williams, 300 s/o center line <br />of Western. (Construction of Coveleski Ball <br />Park, Change of Traffic Pattern). <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION, LEFT TURN LANE, SOUTHBOUND TO <br />EASTBOUND - 300 S. Williams & Western (Construction <br />of Coveleski Ball Park, Change of Traffic Pattern). <br />3. REMOVAL OF 1-HR. PARKING, M-6A-9P-T-S6A-6P, REVISED <br />TO 1 HR. PARKING, 6A-6P - 100 N. Michigan. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the following two (2) handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controllers office for issuance of permits: <br />1. Nellie A. Parkhouse <br />23500 Ardmore Trail <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />2. Howard Bright <br />705 South 35th Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of one hundred seventy-four (174) properties cleaned from <br />July 3, 1986 to July 10, 1986 was submitted. Upon a motion made <br />by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - JUNE <br />The Humane Society report for the month of June indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: 253 <br />CATS HANDLED: 276 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 137 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED: 23 <br />COMPLAINTS HANDLED: 153 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and <br />filed. <br />
