REGULAR MEETING JULY 15, 1986 It was further noted that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Department of Code Enforcement have reviewed the above referred to license applications but the Board is still awaiting the recommendations of the Police Department. Therefore, based on the above information, upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above license applications were approved subject to favorable recommendations from the Police Department and subject to Mr. Fisher and Mr. Finton locating their open air stands on property other than the public right-of-way. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were approved: 1. REMOVAL OF 1-WAY SOUTHBOUND, REVISED TO 2-WAY TRAFFIC - 400 S. Williams, 300 s/o center line of Western. (Construction of Coveleski Ball Park, Change of Traffic Pattern). 2. NEW INSTALLATION, LEFT TURN LANE, SOUTHBOUND TO EASTBOUND - 300 S. Williams & Western (Construction of Coveleski Ball Park, Change of Traffic Pattern). 3. REMOVAL OF 1-HR. PARKING, M-6A-9P-T-S6A-6P, REVISED TO 1 HR. PARKING, 6A-6P - 100 N. Michigan. APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the following two (2) handicapped parking permit applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controllers office for issuance of permits: 1. Nellie A. Parkhouse 23500 Ardmore Trail South Bend, Indiana 2. Howard Bright 705 South 35th Street South Bend, Indiana FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of one hundred seventy-four (174) properties cleaned from July 3, 1986 to July 10, 1986 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as submitted was filed. FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - JUNE The Humane Society report for the month of June indicated the following matters handled for the City of South Bend: DOGS HANDLED: 253 CATS HANDLED: 276 OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 137 BITE CASES HANDLED: 23 COMPLAINTS HANDLED: 153 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and filed.
