REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 8, 1986 <br />NEIL'S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE, INC. <br />167 East Kalamazoo Avenue <br />Kalamazoo, Michigan <br />Bid was signed by Stephanie A. Peters, Treasurer, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a Cashier's Check in <br />the amount of $1,056.10 was submitted. <br />BID: One (1) UEC Skyvan Model VG33EH <br />Not Installed: $10,021.00 <br />Installation: (ADD) $ 540.00 <br />Exception to specifications: aerial lift unit <br />has a 36e non -continuous rotation. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Dalum's Utility Equipment Company, <br />Inc., N4 W22610 Bluemound Road, Waukesha, Wisconsin and Altec <br />Industries, Inc., 5201 West 84th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, <br />have advised that they are unable to submit a bid on the above <br />requested equipment at this time. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Vance and carried, the above bids were referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT - LOGAN STREET/HICKORY ROAD <br />PROJECT <br />Submitted to the Board for approval was a Supplemental Agreement <br />with D.E. McGillem & Associates, Inc., 77 South Girls School <br />Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. It was noted that the original <br />Agreement with McGilliam & Associates for buying services for the <br />above referred to project, approved and executed by the Board on <br />July 15, 1985, did not provide for the buying services for Parcel <br />No. 22 included as part of the project. Therefore, a <br />Supplemental Agreement providing for Parcel No. 22 was being <br />submitted for approval. It was noted that the addition of Parcel <br />No. 22 to the Agreement increases the contract amount by $500.00 <br />with a new total fee not to exceed $36,500.00. Mr. Leszczynski <br />further advised that the Logan Street/Hickory Road Project <br />entails widening, realignment and modernization. He noted that <br />the project is in the right-of-way acquisition stage and it is <br />anticipated that the State will seek bids for the project in the <br />Fall of this year. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by <br />Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Supplemental Agreement as <br />submitted was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REQUEST <br />In a letter to the Board, Dr. Patrick T. Malone, 1233 Woodward, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested that Woodward Avenue from Yukon to <br />Hudson be closed from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on July 12, 1986 for a <br />neighborhood block party. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic <br />Division have reviewed this request and recommend approval <br />subject to the maintenance of a ten foot (101) clear and <br />unobstructed lane at either curb or down the center of the street <br />for emergency purposes. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the recommendation was <br />accepted and the request approved. <br />FILING OF OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of one hundred fifty-eight (158) properties cleaned from <br />June 26, 1986 to July 3, 1986, was submitted. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report <br />as submitted was filed. <br />
