REQUEST OF GREATER ST. JOHN BAPTIST CHURCH TO CONDUCT <br />WALKATHON - JUNE 7, 1986 <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Virginia Randles, 1631 <br />South Brookfield Street, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf <br />of the St. John Baptist Church Vacation Bible School, <br />requested permission to conduct a walkathon on June 7, <br />1986 at 9:00 a.m. for approximately one hour with <br />approximately 100 participants beginning at Listen & <br />Orange Streets, proceeding east on Orange to Colfax, <br />Colfax to Chapin street, turning right on Chapin to W. <br />Washington Avenue to Liston Street and finishing at the <br />Church. <br />7. REQUEST FROM ETHNIC FESTIVAL PARADE COMMITTEE TO CONDUCT <br />MARCHING BAND CHALLENGE - JULY 5 1986 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Rick Kring, Ethnic Festival <br />Parade Chairman and Mr. John Paczesny, Parade Director, <br />requested permission to conduct a Marching Band Challenge <br />for the high school bands participating in the 1986 <br />Ethnic Festival Parade. The event would be held on <br />Saturday, July 5, 1986 on Lafayette Street in the block <br />between Jefferson and Washington Streets beginning at <br />2:00 p.m. The streets that would need to be blocked <br />to traffic are Lafayette from Wayne to Washington and <br />Jefferson Street from Williams to Main. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the recommendations as submitted were accepted and the <br />requested as outlined above were approved. <br />APPROVE ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS <br />Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director, Office of Community Affairs, <br />submitted to the Board for approval the following Ethnic Festival <br />Booth applications: <br />Food Booths 51 (8 modified due to duplication) <br />Pilot Club of South Bend (Mrs. Fran Chikar) <br />The Charcoal Grill (Bob Basham) <br />Mill St., Inc.
