154 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 13, 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:35 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 1986, by President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Ms. Katherine G. Barnard <br />and Mr. Michael L. Vance present. Also present was Chief Deputy <br />City Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the following items were added to the agenda: <br />1. Agreement for Secretarial Services (Code Enforcement <br />Hearing Officer) <br />2. Acceptance of Water Easement <br />3. Award bid for additional street materials for South <br />Bend Street Department for 1986 <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the minutes of the May 6, 1986, regular meeting of the <br />Board were approved. <br />OPENING AND AWARD <br />- 423 SOUTH HARRIS <br />OF CITY -OWNED PRO <br />- 1510 SOUTH ST. JOSEPH STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the <br />receiving and opening of sealed bids for the sale of City -owned <br />property at 423 South Harris Street and 1510 South St. Joseph <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were received: <br />423 SOUTH HARRIS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that'one (1) bid has been received <br />from Mr. Elberto Garcia, 425 South Harris Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $200.00. It was noted that <br />the property has an appraisal value of $305.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, seconded by Mr. <br />Vance and carried, the offer of $200.00 for the <br />property at 423 South Harris was accepted and the matter <br />referred to the City Attorney's office for the drafting of <br />the appropriate Purchase Agreement. <br />1510 SOUTH ST. JOSEPH STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that one (1) bid has been received <br />from Fidencio Bueno, 210 East Haney Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, in the amount of $80.00. It was noted that the <br />property has an appraisal value of $160.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the offer of $80.00 for the property at 1510 South <br />St. Joseph Street was accepted and the matter referred to the <br />City Attorney's office for the drafting of the appropriate <br />Purchase Agreement. <br />APPROVE AGENCY AND ESCROW AGREEMENT BETWEEN BOARD OF PARK <br />COMMISSIONERS, BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SECURITY PACIFIC <br />NATIONAL BANK (STANLEY COVELESKI REGIONAL STADIUM) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the Board for approval <br />was the above referred to Agreement which is among the Board of <br />Park Commissioners, the City of South Bend and Security Pacific <br />National Bank. <br />1 <br />C <br />1 <br />
