117 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 8, 1986 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REMOVAL OF 2-HOUR PARKING 6A-6P - 300-400 W. Monroe, <br />North side, Lafayette to Williams. (L.O. Gates). <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION, NO PARKING 7A-3P - 2212 S. Main and <br />2214 S. Main. (Requested by Watcon, George Resnick) <br />3. NEW INSTALLATION, 15-MINUTE 6A-6P - 1711 S. Michigan, <br />44 ft. (National Bank). <br />4. NEW INSTALLATION, TOW -AWAY ZONE - 100 W. Dayton, both <br />sides. (Requested by Police Department). <br />5. REMOVAL OF NO PARKING - South side of Vassar from 60' <br />East of Wilber to 60' West of Railroad. (Councilman <br />Joe Serge). <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for Briones & Sons be approved retroactive to <br />April 3, 1986. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the following two (2) handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of permits: <br />1. Marjorie Wilson, 526 30th St., S.B. <br />2. Gilbert K. York, 1017 E. Calvert, S.B. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - MARCH <br />The Humane Society report for the month of March indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: 204 <br />CATS HANDLED: 142 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 46 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED: 13 <br />COMPLAINTS HANDLED: 180 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and <br />filed. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT - MARCH <br />The report submitted to the Board indicated a total of one <br />hundred twenty-four (124) street light outages reported during <br />the month of March. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the report as submitted was <br />filed. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of sixty-two (62) properties cleaned from March 28, 1986 to <br />April 3, 1986, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard, <br />seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the report as submitted was <br />filed. <br />
