23 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 28. 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:34 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 1986, by President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Ms. Katherine G. Barnard <br />and Mr. Michael L. Vance present. Also present was Assistant <br />City Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer. <br />AGENDA ITEM STRICKEN <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the Contract with Mayoras and Hittle for the <br />computer software for the City of South Bend financial needs was <br />stricken from the agenda as the City has not received signed <br />copies from Mayoras & Hittle as had been anticipated. <br />CORRECT AND APPROVE CORRECTED MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Ms. Barnard advised that on Page No. 17 of the minutes of the <br />Board of Public Works meeting held on January 21, 1986, the <br />second address listed for Metal Resources in Resolution No. <br />1-1986 should be changed from 3123 South Gertrude to 1305 Prairie <br />Avenue. Ms. Barnard made a motion that this correction be made. <br />Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion and it carried. <br />Further, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. <br />Barnard, the minutes of the January 21, 1986, regular meeting of <br />the Board were approved as corrected. <br />OPENING OF BIDS: <br />- TWELVE (12) OR MORE COMPACT AUTOMOBILES <br />- THREE (3) OR MORE ECONOMY AUTOMOBILES <br />- THREE (3) OR MORE 1 TON PICK-UP TRUCKS <br />- FIVE (5) OR MORE VANS <br />- ONE (1) OR MORE TRACTOR/MOWERS <br />- SIX (6) OR MORE 1/2 TON PICK-UP TRUCKS <br />- FIVE (5) OR MORE SINGLE AXLE TRUCKS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />A. H. CHOITZ AND CO., INC. <br />25166 West State Road #2 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />Bid was signed by A. H. Choitz, President, Non -Collusion <br />Affidavit was in order and a Bid Bond in the amount of <br />$1,854.00 was submitted. <br />BID: <br />1 New John Deere Model 2350 Tractor <br />Delivered Price $14,158.00 <br />Trade of one (1) Ford 5000 with <br />Tiger Mower (-2,000.00 <br />Delivered Price, Less Trade $12,158.00 <br />1 Terrain King Model TK360CH 60" Exten- <br />A-Mower, per bid specifications. <br />Delivered Price $ 4,380.00 <br />Option: 7' Front Mounted Hydraulic <br />Snow Blade (Price not available <br />at this time) <br />Delivery: Approximately 90 days from receipt of order. <br />
