' 2 <br />REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 29, 1987 <br />FILING OF APPLICATION FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION AND CERTIFICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the application for bidder qualification and certifica- <br />tion of Adiva, Inc., Dolores L. Anastasio, Owner, 914 L.W.W., <br />South Bend, Indiana, was accepted for filing and referred to the <br />appropriate City departments for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST OF CITY AWNING TO ERECT AWNING AT 129 NORTH MAIN STREET - <br />REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Hank Craft, Sales Representative, <br />City Awning of South Bend, 1835 South Franklin, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requested permission to erect an entrance canopy which <br />will project over the sidewalk at Instant Copy, 129 North Main <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Craft further advised that Mr. <br />Roger Schafer of the Indiana Department of Highways has verbally <br />approved the installation of the canopy. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above <br />request was referred to the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus, along with the drawing of the proposed canopy which was <br />submitted with the request, for review and recommendation. <br />?ST OF KNIG <br />S OF COLUMBUS TO CONDUCT "RIGHT <br />LIFE" MARCH - <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Arthur R. Leinen, Right to Life <br />Chairman, Knights of Columbus, 815 North Michigan Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, advised that Council #553, on behalf of the St. <br />Joe Valley Chapter of Knights of Columbus Councils, requests <br />permission to conduct the annual "Right to Life" March on Sunday, <br />January 17, 1988, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Leinen stated that <br />the march will begin at the Knights of Columbus building at 815 <br />North Michigan Street and proceed South on Michigan Street to <br />LaSalle and then East on LaSalle to St. Joseph Church on the <br />corner of LaSalle and Hill Streets. The March will be organized <br />only to St. Joseph Church where a service recognizing the right <br />to life will be held. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the appropriate City <br />departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. <br />UEST OF IUSI <br />TH STREET AND <br />INSTALLATION <br />STREET - RE <br />OF 4-WAY STOP <br />ION <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Randy L. Landsberg, Campus <br />Engineering Coordinator, Indiana University at South Bend, 1700 <br />Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, advised that IUSB requests <br />the installation of 4-way stop signs at the intersection of 20th <br />Street and Vine Street which is at the edge of the university <br />property. This intersection presently has stop signs on Vine <br />Street only. The traffic at this location has increased <br />considerably and the university believes that changing this to a <br />4-way stop will make it a safer intersection. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above <br />request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and <br />the Police Department Traffic Division for review and <br />recommendation. <br />PPROVE AMENDED LETTER OF <br />DIT - CROSS CREEK, INC. <br />nr. Leszczynski advised that St. Joseph Bank and Trust Company, <br />P.O.
