REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 29, 1987 Prices quoted herein are firm thru 10/31/88 Unless specified otherwise in proposal all prices quoted herein are subject to acceptance within 30 days and shall be deemed automatically to have been withdrawn if, by the end of that period, no award has been made. The bulk treated salt offered in this bid is suitable for highway maintenance only. THE LEVY COMPANY, INC. P.O. Box 540 Portage, Indiana 46368 Bid was signed by Martin R. Norville, Vice -President, Sales/Marketing, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a 10% Bid Bond was submitted. Up to 10,000 Tons Calcium Chloride $12.95/ton Slag Sand Mixture Delivered to any location as designated by the City of South Bend Street Department. Mr. Leszczynski stated that Diamond Crystal Salt Company, St. Clair, Michigan and Bay Dust Control Division of Liquid Calcium Chloride Sales, Inc., P.O. Box 215, Kawkawlin, Michigan, indicated that they are unable to bid at this time. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above bids were referred to the Street Department for review and recommendation. OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - STORAGE BUILDING ADDITION (MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY) Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of Quotations for a 30' x 104' storage building addition east of and abutting the present storage building at the Municipal Services Facility located at 701 West Sample Street. The following quotations were received: CASTEEL CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION P.O. Box 628 South Bend, Indiana Quotation was submitted by P.W. Plawecki and is in the amount of $28,800.00. MAJORITY BUILDERS, INC. 62900 U.S. 31 South South Bend, Indiana 46614 Quotation was submitted by Rick Slagle and is in the amount of $24,880.00. KASER-SPRAKER CONSTRUCTION, INC. P.O. Box 3605 South Bend, Indiana Quotation was submitted by Gary L. Spraker, President and Daniel H. Kaser, Secretary/Treasurer and is in the amount of $24,829.00.
