REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 23, 1987 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:33 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 1987, by President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski and Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq <br />present. Board member Michael L. Vance was not in attendance. <br />Also present was Chief Deputy City Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held <br />on June 9, 1987 were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS - SUGAR/MAPLE- <br />BENDIX DRIVE <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bid was opened and publicly read: <br />TRANS TECH ELECTRIC, INC. <br />4601 Cleveland Road <br />P.O. Box 3915 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />Bid was signed by Robert J. Urbanski, President and Sally J. <br />Urbanski, Secretary, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and <br />a 5% Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: $46,646.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the bid received was referred to the Engineering <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ONE (1)_28,000 G.V.W. RESCUE UNIT - SOUTH BEND <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bid:was opened and publicly read: <br />MC COY MILLER, INC. <br />53404 Co. Road 13 <br />Elkhart, Indiana 46514 <br />Bid was signed by Frank Lipps, President, Non -Collusion <br />Affidavit was in order and a Bid Bond in the amount of <br />$9,938.80 was submitted. <br />BID: <br />1 1988 McCoy Miller rescue vehicle "aluminum <br />construction" to customer specifications - <br />with exceptions <br />Ford chassis model LN80000 30,000 GVWR $99,388.00 <br />Less trade in of 1982 Chevrolet 2,500.00 <br />Net after trade $96,888.00 <br />1988 Ford truck F800 31,000 GVWR to <br />customer specifications with exceptions $95,099.50 <br />Less trade in of 1982 Chevrolet 2,500.00 <br />Net after trade $92,599.50 <br />- Delivery approximately 120 days after <br />receipt of chassis. <br />Fj <br />1 <br />1 <br />
