5.8 REGULAR MEETING MARCH 3, 1987 of the Rum Village Industrial Park. He stated that several parcels of property in that area are landlocked between railroad tracks and the only access to them is to construct a right-of-way off Olive Street west into Rum Village Park. In response to Mr. Leszczynski's inquiry of who prepared the legal descriptions contained in the Resolution, Mr. Pocius advised that they were prepared by Mr. Kenneth Herceg of Ken Herceg & Associates, Inc. Mr. Leszczynski further inquired if the City Engineering Department has had an opportunity to review the legal descriptions contained in the Resolution. Mr. Pocius stated that the Engineering Department has not reviewed the descriptions. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the adoption of Resolution No. 3-1987 as outlined above be tabled for one (1) week in order to give the Engineering Department an opportunity to review the legal descriptions contained in the Resolution. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion and it carried. APPROVE REQUEST OF B & G CONSTRUCTION COMPANY TO LOCATE DUMPSTER IN FRONT OF 213 WEST WASHINGTON STREET In a letter to the Board, Mr. Donald L. Ullery, Sales Manager, Superior Waste Systems, P.O. Box 2347, 20645 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of B & G Construction Company of Massachusetts, requested permission to place one (1) to two (2) forty (40) cubic yard construction containers in the public street, at the curb line, in front of 213 West Washington Street. Mr. Ullery stated that the containers will remain at this location for a period of five (5) to six (6) months for renovation of the future Holiday Inn. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request be approved subject to favorable review and recommendations from the Building Department and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Mr. Vance seconded the motion and it carried. REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY REFERRED• - 614 SOUTH COLUMBIA - 410 EAST SOUTH STREET In letters to the Board, Ms. Sandra P. Kieffer for Kieffer and Zimpelman Partnership, 17700 Woodthrush, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the Partnership would like to purchase the City -owned property at 614 South Columbia as they are purchasing the property north of this property from the Redevelopment Department (402 & 404 East South Street). Ms. Kieffer stated that they would like to acquire this property for future need. Additionally, Ms. Kieffer advised that the Partnership would like to acquire the City -owned property at 410 South Street as they are purchasing the property adjacent to 410 E. South Street from the Redevelopment Department (Lots 1 & 2). She stated that Lot 3 is needed for off-street parking to meet municipal code requirements. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above requests were referred to the necessary City departments and bureaus for a determination as to whether or not the City need retain the lots for any reason. APPROVE REQUEST OF MICHIANA WATERSHED, INC TO CONDUCT 17TH ANNUAL ST. JOSEPH RIVER RUN - MAY 9, 1987 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Police Department Traffic Division, Fire Department and City Attorney's Office have reviewed the above request submitted to the Board on November 18, 1986 and recommend approval.
