Ms. chosen because it was cost competitive, not the most, but had a plan in place that the City felt would be most appropriate for the City's employee group and one that was very well packaged. FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY REPORT - NOVEMBER Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Humane Society report for the month of November, 1988 indicating the number of animals handled for the City of South Bend was accepted for filing as submitted. APPROVE ACCEPTANCE OF N.C.R. COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH SYSTEM Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a letter from Police Chief Ronald Marciniak requesting that the Board accept his letter as a recommendation for acceptance of the N.C.R. CAD System. Chief Marciniak stated that a review of the specifications of the Contract with N.C.R. has shown that the system is performing as required. The installation of the software and hardware is complete for the dispatch portion. As per the Agreement, the City will begin payments of the $50,205.00 with the Board's 5 acceptance of the Computer Aided Dispatch portion of the system. Therefore, presented for Board signature was the Schedule, The Certificate of Acceptance and the Certificate of Attorney. Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendation was accepted and the acceptance of the CAD System approved. In response to a question from the news media, Mr. George Wagle of N.C.R. advised that the monthly maintenance fee for the hardware for this system is $4,000.00. FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were accepted and filed: 1. Warner & Sons, Inc. P.O. Box 87 Elkhart, Indiana 46515 2. McCormick & Company, Inc. 11350 McCormick Road Hunt Valley, Maryland FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of twenty-six (26) properties cleaned from December 5, 1988 to December 8, 1988, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report as submitted was filed.
