Box 445 <br />Pontiac, IL 61764 <br />Bid was signed by Larry Philyaw, <br />in order and a Certified Check in <br />was submitted. <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was <br />the amount of $9,200.00 <br />BI-D: One (1) Brown Bear II Sludge Aerator/ <br />Composter per detailed specifications: $182,858.00 <br />Chief Deputy City Attorney Thomas Bodnar recommended that the bid <br />submitted by MacDonald Machinery Company, 52401 Ralph Jones <br />Drive, South Bend, Indiana be rejected because of lack of proper <br />notarization which by itself invalidates the State Board of <br />Accounts Form #96. <br />Additionally, Mr. Leszczynski stated that Brandeis Machinery & <br />Supply Corporation, P.O. Box 33103, Indianapolis, Indiana, <br />advised that they decline to submit a bid at this time. <br />Further, the Board is in receipt of a letter from Clean Air <br />Systems, Inc., 23349 State Road 23 West, P.O. Box 3053, South <br />Bend, Indiana, confirming their bid of $18,500.00. However, the <br />bid was not on the proper bid form and did not contain bid <br />security. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineer's Estimate for this <br />project, including equipment, is $17,417,330.00. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, <br />the above bids were referred to Ten Ech Engineering and to the <br />Director of the Wastewater Treatment Plant for review and <br />recommendation and the Affirmative Action Applications as <br />submitted with the bids were referred to the Affirmative Action <br />Review Committee for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the sale of approximately thirty-five (35) abandoned vehicles <br />which have been stored at South Bend Auto Parts storage lot <br />located at 218 South Grant Street, South Bend, Indiana. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be <br />sufficient.
