RESOLUTION NO.42-2016 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ESTABLISHING PARKING RATES FOR PUBLICLY OWNED PARKING FACILITIES IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA WHEREAS, Ind. Code 36-9-11-7 authorizes the Board of Public Works (the `Board") to fix the rates and charges to be collected for the parking of vehicles in parking facilities owned and operated by the City of South Bend (the "City"), or for any other use of those parking facilities, and to adopt rules governing the use and operation of the parking facilities so as to promote the maximum use of the parking facilities by the public in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner; and WHEREAS, the Board desires to establish the rates, charges, and rules set forth herein and will submit the same for approval by the South Bend Common Council in accordance with Ind. Code 36-9-11-7(a). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following monthly parking rates will be charged for vehicles parked at City - operated garages with a monthly parking pass: A. Standard Monthly Pass (per vehicle for parking in spaces not designated as reserved) B. Premium Monthly Pass (per vehicle for parking in spaces designated as reserved) C. Part -Time Monthly Pass (per vehicle for parking in designated part-time spaces for a total of no more than 25 hours per week) D. Residential Monthly Pass (per vehicle for parking in designated residential spaces, limited to users residing within the boundary of the Central Business District as defined in accordance with South Bend Municipal Code Section 21-01.02, as the same may be amended from time to time) Old Rate $45.00 $55.00 None None New Rate $55.00 $90.00 $30.00
