Loosen the 4- 3/8" diameter by 1-1/4'stainless steel hex socket head screws(i) on the top and bottom pf the universal adapter cover plate assembly. Remove <br />the universal pole adapter(3). <br />2. Remove the universal pole backing assembly (7) from the universal pole adapter (3) by loosening and removing the both of the 1-1/4' boll/washer assemblies <br />WA, 60,6C). Set aside for reinstallation. <br />3. Slide one boll/washer assembly (BA, Ea, 6C) through the slot of the universal pole adapter (3) as shown in diagram above making sure the adjustable slide <br />is accessible to slide it up or down in order to line up with the bottom hole of the current drilling of the pole. <br />4. Place the universal pole backing assembly (7) inside the pole aligning it with the drill pattern nn the pole. <br />5. Place the universal pole adapter (3) with the first bolt/washer assembly (6A, 80, 6C) combined (from step 3) on the outside of the pale (narrow portion of the <br />adapter facing upwards). Thread the bolt/washer assembly through the top hole of pole and into the top threaded hole of the universal pole backing assembly (7), <br />G. Position the slide on the universal pole backing assembly (7) in alignmentwith the bottom hole in the pole. <br />7. Slide the second bolt assembly through the universal pole adapter's slot (3), through the bottom hole of pole and screw into the threaded hole of the slide <br />on the universal pole backing assembly (7). <br />8. Check plumb and level of the universal pole adapter (3) and secure bolts tightly. <br />9. Place the cover plate assembly (2), narrow portion of the plate facing upwards, over the universal pole adapter (3). <br />10. Retighten screws (1) on the top and bottom of the universal adapter cover plate assembly until adapter is secure to the pole. <br />11.
