Martin, Clerk Board of Public Works FROM: Richard Estes, Engineer I SUBJECT: Change Order #2 for Century Center Electrical Distribution Upgrades Project No. 116-007 DATE: September 16, 2016 Herewith is an explanation for the Change Order being submitted. The reason(s) for the Change Order request are as follows: Replaced the damaged fused switch feeding AHU-3 and AHU-4. During repair of fused switch located in the main switchgear for an issue that was found during thermal scan of equipment is was discovered that the switch was damaged beyond repair. Parts for the existing switchgear are no longer available so the existing fused switch was replaced with a new remote mounted 200 amp fused safety switch. Items 1 is an emergency repair that was required when it was found that the existing fused switch had failed. The cost for the work will be $1,376.00. This brings the total increase to 18.15% for the overall project cost. This includes previously approved changes of $12,432.08 in change order #1. Please call me with your questions (5896).
