moors "Ah <br />Mug <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 22, 1988 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:43 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 1988, by President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq <br />and Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Chief <br />Deputy City Attorney Thomas Bodnar. <br />APPROVE MINUTES .OF PREVIOUS MEETING. <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the minutes of the February 15, 1988, regular <br />meeting of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF.BIDS - APPROXIMATELY FIFTEEN (15) NEW MARKED POLICE <br />VEHICLES FOR THE SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the <br />receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to <br />vehicles. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in <br />the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />GATES CHEVROLET CORPORATION <br />401 South Lafayette <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Bid was signed by Charles Lindzy, Fleet Manager, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a 10% Bid Bond was <br />submitted. <br />BID: <br />15 1988 Chevrolet Caprice four door sedans, Model <br />1BL69 with 116" wheelbase and as per specifications <br />on file with any exceptions noted below: <br />List Price Each $16,658.00 <br />Total Price - 15 units $249,870.00 <br />Less Fleet Discount 43,054.65 <br />Net Price without trade $206,815.35 <br />Less trade in of: Unit 634 & 636 - 1987 <br />Plymouth, Unit 649 - 1986 Plymouth, Unit <br />653 - 1985 Dodge, Unit 654 - 1986 Plymouth, <br />Unit 6'60 & 661 - 1987 Plymouth, Unit 662 & <br />663 - 1986 Plymouth, Unit 666-678-706-709 - <br />1985 Dodge, Unit 710 - 1981 Chrysler and <br />724 - 1985 Dodge. $ 21,000.00 <br />Net Price with trades $185,815.35 <br />Alternates of Unit 630 - 1986 Plymouth, <br />Units 631-632 & 644 - 1987 Plymouth <br />Deduct $9,300.00 net price. <br />EXCEPTIONS: <br />1.
