ILI <br />REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 12, 1988 <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TO CONDUCT "RIGHT TO LIFE" <br />MARCH - JANUARY 17, 1988 <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above referred to request, submitted to the <br />Board on December 29, 1987, was approved subject to favorable <br />recommendations being received from the appropriate City <br />Departments and bureaus currently reviewing this request. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT MARCH - MARTIN LUTHER KING CELEBRATION <br />- JANUARY 18, 1988 <br />Ms. Gladys Muhammad, Martin Luther King Celebration Committee, <br />requested permission to conduct a march on the public sidewalk on <br />the north side of Jefferson Boulevard from the County -City <br />Building to Century Center on January 18, 1988 at 1:30 p.m. Ms. <br />Muhammad advised that approximately one hundred and fifty (150) <br />individuals will participate in this march. Upon a motion made <br />by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />above referred to request was approved subject to favorable <br />recommendations being received from the appropriate City <br />Departments and bureaus currently reviewing this request. <br />FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR BIDDER QUALIFICATION/CERTIFICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that applications from the following <br />companies have been received: <br />1. Harry H. Verkler, Contractor, Inc. <br />645 Wilber Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />2. Badger Meter, Inc. <br />4545 West Brown Deer Road <br />P.O. Box 23099 <br />Milwaukee, WI <br />3. LCI, Ltd. <br />889 South Brentwood Blvd., Suite 107 <br />Clayton, MO <br />4. Business Systems, Inc. <br />3618 Grape Road <br />Mishawaka, Indiana <br />5. Kent Meters, Inc. <br />903 N.E. Osceola Avenue <br />P.O. Box 1852 <br />Ocala, Florida <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the above referred to applications were <br />accepted for filing and referred to the appropriate City <br />departments for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) handicapped parking permit <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a permit: <br />1. Michael J. Pecsi <br />17260 Douglas Rd., S.B. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of ten (10) properties cleaned from January 4, 1988 to <br />January 8, 1988, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />1 <br />
