The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. Mr. <br />Leszczynski further advised that this property has been appraised <br />and has an appraised value of $360.00. The following bid was <br />received: <br />MR. JOSE R. DURAN <br />719 South Arnold Street <br />South Bend, Indiana BID: $20.00 <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the bid as submitted be <br />rejected. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE PROPOSAL - ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR EOUIPMENT STORAGE <br />BUILDING (SOUTH BEND SLUDGE FARM) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that a Proposal from Ken Herceg & <br />Associates, Inc., 425 North Michigan Street, Suite 320, South <br />Bend, Indiana, for engineering services in connection with the <br />construction of an equipment storage building for sludge handling <br />equipment has been submitted to the Board. He noted that the <br />total engineering costs are not to exceed $14,500.00. Therefore, <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Proposal as submitted be <br />approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE VEHICLE SALVAGE & VEHICLE STORAGE CONTRACTS <br />Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Director, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, advised the Board that submitted today for approval <br />are Contracts with Super Auto Salvage, 3300 South Main Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, for the storage and salvage of abandoned <br />vehicles for the period January 1, 1990 through December 31, <br />1990. <br />Mrs. DeClercq noted that Super Auto Salvage has been providing <br />these services and the City has been able to deal with abandoned <br />vehicles effectively. She also noted that she is pleased with <br />the services being provided by Super Auto Salvage. <br />I <br />L <br />
