154 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 30, 1989 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:34 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 1989, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq and <br />Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Assistant City <br />Attorney Jenny Pitts-Manier. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held <br />on May 22, 1989 were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ONE (1) 31000# GVW CAB & CHASSIS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. Mr. <br />Leszczynski noted that this equipment will be used by the sewer <br />department. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />SHAMROCK FORD TRUCK SALES, INC. <br />4707 West Western Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />Bid was submitted by Jack A. Keener, Sales Manager, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a Bid Bond in <br />the amount of $3,200.00 was submitted. <br />BID: One (1) Ford F800 Cab & Chassis $31,362.00 <br />Option: Tilt Hood - Add $ 505.00 <br />W & W INTERNATIONAL, INC. <br />4849 West Western Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />Bid was submitted by James Ham, Non -Collusion Affidavit <br />was in order and a Bid Bond in the amount of $3,400.00 <br />was submitted. <br />BID: One (1) Model 1990 International $33,686.98 <br />4900 4x2. <br />It was noted that Wacker Corporation, N92 W15000 Anthony Avenue, <br />Menomonee Falls, WI, advised that they decline to bid at this <br />time. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. <br />Humphreys and carried, the bids were referred to the Department <br />of Sanitation for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE CONTRACT FOR COLLECTION SERVICES - DEBT COLLECTION <br />SERVICES FOR PAST DUE AMBULANCE ACCOUNTS FOR THE SOUTH BEND FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT FOR 1989 (FEDERATED COLLECTION AGENCY) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that pursuant to the award of the <br />Proposal for debt collection services for past due ambulance <br />accounts for the South Bend Fire Department for 1989 to Federated <br />Collection Agency on May 22, 1989, the appropriate Contract for <br />Collection Services is being submitted at this time for approval <br />and execution. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by <br />Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Contract as submitted was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE LOAN AGREEMENT AND SUBORDINATED SECURITY AGREEMENT - <br />BANGOR REFRIGERATION/CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that a Loan Agreement and a Subordinated <br />I- <br />I <br />
