10 <br />REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 9. 1989 <br />Watershed, Inc., sponsors of the Annual St. Joseph River Run, <br />permission to hold the 19th Annual St. Joseph River Run on <br />Saturday, May 13, 1989. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the request was referred <br />to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - RENTAL OF NEW <br />UNIFORMS FOR VARIOUS BUREAUS AND DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Catherine Hubbard, Personnel <br />Coordinator, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt <br />of bids for the rental of new uniforms for various City bureaus <br />and departments within the City of South Bend. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, <br />the request was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />1. NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Zone <br />LOCATION: 1234 Goodland Avenue <br />REMARKS: As submitted to the Board <br />on December 5, 1988 by <br />Mr. Ralph Szymanski on <br />behalf of his son David <br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Excavation Bond for Hebron Plumbing and Heating, Inc. be approved <br />effective January 9, 1989. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the <br />recommendation was accepted and the bond approved. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY MONTHLY REPORT - DECEMBER 1988 <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the Humane Society Report for the month of December, <br />1988 was accepted for filing as submitted. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:48 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />John E.
