346 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 29, 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:33 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 1990, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq and <br />Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Board Attorney <br />Jenny Pitts Manier. <br />AGENDA ITEM STRICKEN <br />There being no objections by members of the Board, the matter of <br />a Claim of Marshall & Wells Company - Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />Improvements Project, was stricken from the agenda at this time. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the minutes of the October 22, 1990, regular meeting <br />of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SIXTY-FIVE (65) SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING <br />APPARATUS WITH 30 MINUTE AIR CYLINDERS AND SIX (6) SELF CON' <br />BREATHING APPARATUS WITH 60 MINUTE AIR CYLINDERS (FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT) <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Safety Services, Inc., 5286 Wynn <br />Road, P.O. Box 3539, Kalamazoo, Michigan, has advised that they <br />are unable to bid at this time. <br />Additionally, Mr. Daniel F. Warren, President, A.A.A.
