2611 <br />1 <br />Ll <br />u <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 4, 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:32 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 1990, by Board President John <br />E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Ms. Katherine Humphreys and <br />Board Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier present. Board member Patricia <br />E. DeClercq was not in attendance. <br />AGENDA ITEM STRICKEN <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the award of the box office and administrative <br />computer system for the Morris Civic Auditorium was stricken from <br />the agenda at this time. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the minutes of the August 27, 1990, regular meeting <br />of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - VARIOUS VEHICLES - DIVISION OF EQUIPMENT <br />SERVICES: <br />- SEVEN (7) PICK-UP TRUCKS <br />- FOUR (4) COMPACT AUTOMOBILES <br />- TWO (2) MIDSIZE AUTOMOBILES <br />- TWO (2) FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE UTILITY VEHICLES <br />- ONE (1) MINI PASSENGER VAN <br />This was the date set for receiving <br />for the above referred to vehicles. <br />publication of Notice in the South <br />Tri-County News which were found to <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />GATES CHEVY WORLD <br />401 South Lafayette Boulevard <br />P.O. Box 4056 <br />and opening of sealed bids <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />Bend Tribune and the <br />be sufficient. The following <br />South Bend, IN 46634 <br />Bid was signed by Charles J. Lindzy, Fleet Manager, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a ten per cent (100) <br />Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: <br />Seven (7) 1991 Chevrolet Pickup, Model <br />CC10903 as per specifications and with <br />exceptions as noted: $11,693.00 each <br />Total Price Seven (7) Units: $81,851.00 <br />Exceptions: <br />1. Drive train is 36 mos./50,000 mile warranty. <br />2. Rustproof warranty is six years/100,000 miles. If. <br />Ziebart type is required - add $65.00 each. <br />Four (4) 1991 Cavalier four door sedan, Model <br />1JC69 WV9 101.2" WB and as per specifications on <br />file and exceptions as noted below: $ 9,058.35 each <br />Total Price Four (4) Units: $36,233.40 <br />Exceptions: <br />1. Drive train is 36 mos./50,000 warranty. <br />2. Rustproof warranty is six years/100,000 miles. If <br />Ziebart type is required - add $65.00 each. <br />3. Gauges not available. <br />
