Calvert Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />VEHICLE NO. <br />TAG NO. <br />5. 12724 <br />8. 13819 <br />AMOUNT BID <br />53.00 <br />53.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Department of <br />Code Enforcement for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE MISCELLANEOUS DOCUMENTS - ACQUISITION OF NATIONAL MILL <br />SUPPLY BUILDING - 1045 WEST SAMPLE STREET: <br />- ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 19-1990 - EXPRESSING INTENT TO PURCHASE <br />REAL PROPERTY <br />- APPROVE RATIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT OF APPRAISERS <br />- FILING OF APPRAISALS <br />- APPROVE OFFER TO PURCHASE - 1045 WEST SAMPLE STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the City is interested in acquiring <br />a building located at 1045 West Sample Street, known as the <br />National Mill Supply property, for use as the City's centralized <br />vehicle maintenance facility. He stated that this building has <br />been inspected and is suitable for the City's needs. He also <br />noted that in the interest of expediency, he has had the <br />property, which had been used previously as a warehouse, <br />appraised by two (2) professional engaged appraisers. <br />Mr. Leszczynski then made a motion that the Board ratify the <br />appointment of the appraisers, Jerome E. Michaels and McCloskey & <br />Associates. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />Mr. Leszczynski then made a motion that the appraisals as <br />submitted to the Board be accepted for filing. Ms. Humphreys <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />Ms. Humphreys then made a motion that Resolution No. 19-1990 <br />expressing the City's intent to purchase this real property be <br />adopted.
