250 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 20, 1990 <br />There being no further questions, Ms. Humphreys made a motion <br />that the above referred to Agreements be approved and executed. <br />Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONTRACT FOR SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br />- KASER'S AUCTION SERVICE <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Ronald G. Marciniak, <br />submitted a Contract for Sale of Personal Property at Public <br />Auction from Kaser's Auction Service, 68099 Sycamore, North <br />Liberty, Indiana. Chief Marciniak noted that Kaser Auction <br />Service will be conducting the Auction to be held at the Police <br />Department on September 22, 1990 at 8:30 a.m. as approved by the <br />Board on August 13, 1990. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the <br />Contract be approved and executed. Ms. Humphreys seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />DIESEL FUEL #1 AND 42 TRANSPORT <br />It is noted that at their meeting held on August <br />Board determined that it would be appropriate to <br />vendors who originally submitted bids to the City <br />diesel fuel oil purchases for calendar year 1990, <br />whether their offers remain in effect and they be <br />respond to the Board by August 20, 1990. <br />contact the <br />in January for <br />to determine <br />asked to <br />Board Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier advised the Board at this time <br />that Bellman Fuel Oil has not responded to this request and that <br />Smith Petroleum has modified their original bid. Therefore, Mrs. <br />Manier recommended that the Board readvertise for bids for diesel <br />fuel #1 and #2 transport delivery. <br />Ms. Humphreys made a motion that the recommendation of the Board <br />Attorney be accepted and approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />AWARD BIDS• <br />- IRONWOOD-IRELAND RETENTION BASIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />- WEST BANK LIGHTING II PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that he has reviewed the bids received on <br />July 30 1990, for the Ironwood -Ireland Retention Basin <br />Improvements Project, and recommends at this time that the Board <br />award the low bid of Small, Inc., 25190 State Road 4, North <br />Liberty, Indiana, in the amount of $325,721.50. Therefore, Mrs. <br />DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and <br />the bid be awarded. Ms. Humphrey seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />Additionally, Mr. Leszczynski advised that it is being <br />recommended at this time that the Board award the bid of Trans <br />Tech Electric, Inc., 4601 Cleveland Road, P.O. Box 3915, South <br />Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $55,240.00 for the West Bank <br />Lighting II Project. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the bid of <br />Trans Tech be awarded. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />REJECT BIDS - MONROE PARK HOUSE DEMOLITION PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mrs. Ann E. Kolata, Deputy Director, <br />Department of Economic Development, has recommended that the two <br />(2) bids received on August 13, 1990, for the above referred to <br />project, be rejected as both bids far exceed the estimated cost <br />of demolition. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the bids be rejected. Ms. <br />Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
