233 1 REGULAR MEETING JULY 30, 1990 APPROVE SIDEWALK SALE PERMIT APPLICATION Mrs. DeClercq advised that the following Sidewalk Sale Permit application has been received: NAME OF BUSINESS: JAN'S CERAMIC STUDIO BY: Sandy Heilman ADDRESS: 2210 South Miami Street DATES: August 2-4, 1990 Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the above referred to application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of the appropriate permit. It is noted that the required Indemnifica- tion and Hold Harmless Agreement was executed by the applicant and attached to the application. FILING OF CARNIVAL & CIRCUS LICENSE APPLICATION Mrs. DeClercq advised that the following Carnival & Circus license application has been submitted to the Board: APPLICANT: ADDRESS: CORPORATION: PROPOSED LOCATION OF CIRCUS: DATES: HOURS: Jennifer Brickley 52011 Farmington Square Road Granger, Indiana The Circus Arts Foundation 634 North Grand, Suite 1029 St. Louis, MO Downtown South Bend September 11-17, 1990 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Ms. Humphreys therefore made a motion that the above license application be accepted for filing and referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for The Robert Henry Corporation, P.O. Box 1407, South Bend, Indiana, was accepted and filed. APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS BONDS Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Contractors Bonds be approved and/or released: - Ed DeCraene Approved Eff. 7-18-90 - Vincent Concrete Engineers, Inc., Approved Eff. 7-30-90 - John C. Glueckert Released Eff. 8-23-90 - Concrete Foundations, Inc. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that Released the recommendation Eff. be 7-26-90 accepted and the bonds be approved and/or released as indicated above. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS Two (2) reports from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of thirty-seven (37) City -owned and miscellaneous properties cleaned from July 16, 1990 to July 19, 1990, and seventy-two (72) other properties cleaned from July 16, 1990 to July 19, 1990, were submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the reports as submitted were filed.
