227 REGULAR MEETING JULY 30, 1990 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:31 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 1990, by Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq. Present were Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq, Ms. Katherine Humphreys and Assistant City Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the minutes of the July 23, 1990, regular meeting of the Board were approved. OPENING OF BIDS - IRONWOOD-IRELAND RETENTION BASIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: NIBLOCK EXCAVATING, INC. 806 Maple St. P.O. Box 211 Bristol, IN 46507 Bid was signed by Gary Niblock, President, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted. BID: $408,948.60 SMALL, INC. 25190 State Road 4 North Liberty, IN Bid was signed by Ronald N. Howell, President, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted. BID: $325,721.50 RITSCHARD BROS., INC. 1204 W. Sample Street South Bend, IN 46619 Bid was signed by Carmelo Ritschard, President, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted. BID: $392,058.06 Upon a motion made by Ms. Humphreys, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above bids were referred to the Engineering Department for review and recommendation. OPENING OF BIDS - 1990 CONCRETE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project.
