182 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 4, 1990 <br />AVENUE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH CHURCH BAZAAR - JUNE 9, 1990 <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the appropriate City departments <br />and bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on May 29, 1990 and approval is <br />recommended. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the request be approved. Mrs. <br />DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />DENY REQUEST FOR PLACEMENT OF STOP SIGN AT CALVERT AND ROBINSON <br />STREETS <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that in response to a request submitted to <br />the Board on November 13, 1989, to place a stop sign at Calvert <br />and Robinson Streets, the appropriate traffic study has been <br />conducted by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and reveals that <br />warrants have not been met for the installation of a stop sign at <br />that location. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the <br />request be denied. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF COMMITTEE FOR THE 1990 CROP WALK TO CONDUCT <br />THE 1990 CROP WALK - OCTOBER 7 1990 <br />Pursuant to the request submitted to the Board on April 9, 1990 <br />by the Committee for the 1990 Crop Walk to conduct the annual <br />Crop Walk on October 7, 1990, the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Police Department and City Attorney's office have reviewed the <br />request and recommend approval. Mr. Leszczynski therefore made a <br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the request be <br />approved. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />DENY REQUEST OF DAN'S BIKE SHOP TO PLACE SIGN IN PUBLIC <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY AT 2110 WESTERN AVENUE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on May 21, 1990, and it is recommended at <br />this time that the request be denied. It was noted that <br />advertising signs are not allowed in the public right-of-way. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted <br />and the request be denied. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion <br />which carried. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - ST. JOSEPH/WAYNE STREET PARKING GARAGE <br />RETAIL SPACE IMPROVEMENTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was <br />approved and signed. <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS BONDS <br />Mr. Michael P. Meeks, Director, Division of Engineering, <br />recommended that the following Contractors Bonds be approved <br />and/or released: <br />- Gilbert Harwell <br />Release <br />Effective <br />5/30/90 <br />- Charles J. Randolph <br />Release <br />Effective <br />9/13/90 <br />- Vincent Concrete Engineers <br />Release <br />Effective <br />9/7/90 <br />- Hoekstra Concrete Co., Inc. <br />Approve <br />Effective <br />5/23/90 <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendation be accepted <br />and the bonds be approved and/or released as indicated above. <br />Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
