Corner of Jefferson Boulevard and Lafayette Boulevard more <br />particularly described as: <br />Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 270; thence east <br />for 82.5 feet, thence north for 15 feet, thence west for <br />99.5 feet, thence south for 99 feet, thence east for 17 <br />feet; thence north for 84 feet back to the point of <br />beginning. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NOS. 5-1990 AND 6-1990 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE <br />EQUIPMENT - POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />In letters to the Board, Police Chief Ronald G. Marciniak advised <br />that Corporal Thomas Deka has retired in good standing from the <br />Police Department effective February 1, 1990 after twenty (20) <br />years of service and that Corporal James Lukens has retired in <br />good standing from the Department effective January 26, 1990 <br />after twenty (20) years of service. <br />Chief Marciniak indicated that in keeping with Section 2-124 of <br />the Municipal Code, it is requested that the Board declare these <br />Officers' revolvers as surplus property no longer useful to the <br />City. Chief Marciniak noted that this declaration will authorize <br />the presentation of the firearms to the Officers as a tribute for <br />their service to the City. <br />Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that Resolutions No. <br />5-1990 and 6-1990 be adopted. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion <br />which carried and the following Resolution Nos. 5-1990 and 6-1990 <br />were adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5-1990 <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 36-9-6-1 gives the Board of Public Works of <br />the City of South Bend the right and duty to have custody of, <br />control of, use of, and dispose of in accordance with Indiana <br />statutes, all real and personal property owned by the City of <br />South Bend; and <br />
