REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 12, 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:33 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 1990, by Board President John <br />E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mrs. Patricia E. DeClercq <br />and Ms. Katherine Humphreys present. Also present was Assistant <br />City Attorney Jenny Pitts Manier. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, a request to advertise for the receipt of bids for <br />an addition to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Administration <br />Building was added to the agenda. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the minutes of the February 5, 1990, regular meeting <br />of the Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - ATOMIC ABSORPTION/EMISSION SPECTROMETER AND <br />FILING OF NON-DISCRIMINATION COMMITMENT FORMS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />PERKIN-ELMER CORPORATION <br />Crosspoint Business Park <br />9855 Crosspoint Blvd., Suite 140 <br />Indianapolis, IN 46256 <br />Bid was signed by Clyde A. Radel, Senior Sales Engineer, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order and a Proposal Bond in <br />the amount of $4,290.00 was submitted. <br />BID: <br />One (1) Model 1100B Atomic/ <br />Emission Spectrometer: <br />$22,570.00 <br />One (1) Nitrous Oxide Burner Head: <br />$ 545.00 <br />One (1) Small Diameter Lamp <br />Adapter Kit: <br />$ 225.00 <br />One (1) HGA-700 Graphite Furnace for <br />Models 1100B and 2100: <br />$14,890.00 <br />One (1) AS-70 Furnace Autosampler for <br />use with the HGA-700, Model 1100B and <br />2100: <br />$ 7,910.00 <br />One (1) ASPE-CIAL: <br />$ 3,050.00 <br />FOB Norwalk, CT <br />$49,190.00 <br />Less: Trade-in Credit IL Graph Furnace <br />-$ 6,900.00 <br />TOTAL: <br />$42,290.00 <br />Quotation Validity: 3/12/90 <br />Estimated Delivery: 6-8 weeks after acceptance of order. <br />Terms: Orders subject to credit approval.
