Giovanelli, President, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed and an Official Check in the amount of $542.55 was submitted. Thomas, President, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed and an Official Check in the amount of $542.55 was submitted. BID: $16,146.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the above bids were referred to the Engineering Department and the Department of Economic Development for review and recommendation. PUBLIC HEARING AND FAV 1ST N/S ALLEY WEST OF Mr. Leszczynski advise Board's Public Hearing follows: ORABLE RECOMMENDATION - ALLEY VACATION - MAIN STREET d that this was the date set for the on a proposed alley vacation described as The first North/South alley West of Main Street, running North from Colfax Avenue for a distance of approximately 198 feet to the Southern boundary of the first East/West alley South of LaSalle Street between Lafayette and Main Streets, all in the City of South Bend It was noted that this Public Hearing is being held in order for the Board to submit a recommendation to the Common Council concerning the Vacation Petition filed by Ms. Paula N. Auburn, President, South Bend Redevelopment Commission, 1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana. It was further noted that pursuant to South Bend Municipal Code Section 18-53.8, owners whose property abut the proposed alley to be vacated as well as those property owners within one hundred fifty feet (1501) feet of the alley to be vacated, were notified of the Board's Public Hearing date. Ms. Ann Kolata, Department of Economic Development, 1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana, was present on behalf of the Petitioner and advised that as owners of the Colfax Theatre, the Commission is asking that the alley be vacated. Ms. Kolata noted that the Colfax Theatre property was put out to bid and the South Bend Tribune submitted a bid for the parcel contingent upon this alley be vacated in order that they can expand their operation onto that lot. Mr. E.W. Reznik, 1st Source Bank, P.O. Box 1602, South Bend, Indiana, was present and stated that the bank is in favor of this
