Giovanelli, President, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment form was completed and an Official Check in <br />the amount of $542.55 was submitted. <br />BID: $10,851.00 <br />ASBESTOS SERVICES. INC. <br />9028 Hills Road <br />P.O. Box 141 <br />Baroda, MI 49101 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. J.R. Thomas, President, <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination <br />Commitment form was completed and an Official Check in <br />the amount of $542.55 was submitted. <br />BID: $16,146.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Engineering <br />Department and the Department of Economic Development for review <br />and recommendation. <br />PUBLIC HEARING AND FAV <br />1ST N/S ALLEY WEST OF <br />Mr. Leszczynski advise <br />Board's Public Hearing <br />follows: <br />ORABLE RECOMMENDATION - ALLEY VACATION - <br />MAIN STREET <br />d that this was the date set for the <br />on a proposed alley vacation described as <br />The first North/South alley West of Main Street, <br />running North from Colfax Avenue for a distance of <br />approximately 198 feet to the Southern boundary of <br />the first East/West alley South of LaSalle Street <br />between Lafayette and Main Streets, all in the City <br />of South Bend <br />It was noted that this Public Hearing is being held in order for <br />the Board to submit a recommendation to the Common Council <br />concerning the Vacation Petition filed by Ms. Paula N. Auburn, <br />President, South Bend Redevelopment Commission, 1200 County -City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. It was further noted that <br />pursuant to South Bend Municipal Code Section 18-53.8, owners <br />whose property abut the proposed alley to be vacated as well as <br />those property owners within one hundred fifty feet (1501) feet <br />of the alley to be vacated, were notified of the Board's Public <br />Hearing date. <br />Ms. Ann Kolata, Department of Economic Development, 1200 <br />County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana, was present on behalf <br />of the Petitioner and advised that as owners of the Colfax <br />Theatre, the Commission is asking that the alley be vacated. Ms. <br />Kolata noted that the Colfax Theatre property was put out to bid <br />and the South Bend Tribune submitted a bid for the parcel <br />contingent upon this alley be vacated in order that they can <br />expand their operation onto that lot. <br />Mr. E.W. Reznik, 1st Source Bank, P.O. Box 1602, South Bend, <br />Indiana, was present and stated that the bank is in favor of this <br />
