REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 19, 1991 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:36 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 1991, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski.. Also present were Board members Patricia E. <br />DeClercq and Katherine Humphreys as well as Board Attorney Jenny <br />Pitts Manier. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq <br />and carried, a request to advertise for the receipt of bids for <br />the River Crossing 1 Project was added to the agenda. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by.Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys <br />and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held <br />on August 12, 1991 were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - FOUR (4) 'TANDEM AXLE TRUCKS COMPLETE WITH DUMP <br />BODY ANDSNOWATTACHMENTS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the above referred to equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of Notice in the .South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />MIDWEST EPOKE <br />2711R Lance Drive <br />Dayton, Ohio 45409 <br />NO BID <br />MIKE RAISOR FORD, INC. <br />2051 Sagamore Pkwy. <br />Lafayette, Indiana 47905 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. Richard Basney, Heavy Truck & Fleet <br />Manager, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non - <br />Discrimination Commitment form was completed and a ten per <br />cent (10a) Bid Bond was submitted. <br />BID: <br />Four (4) 1992 Ford LNT 8000 Dump & Body Equipment: <br />Each: $ 62,949.00 <br />Total: $251,796.00 <br />Less Trades: $ 18,000.00 <br />Net Total: $233,796.00 <br />Four (4) Galion, 14' special dump body and hoist to meet all <br />specifications, including per -lux plow lights, <br />Betts lighting system and pintle hook. <br />Four (4) Three bark central hydraulic systems to meet all <br />specifications. <br />Four (4) Re -mounting of hitches provided by the City of <br />South Bend to meet all specifications. <br />Four (4) Monroe, model MF-5 underbody scraper to meet <br />Specifications enclosed with bid. <br />Four (4) Monroe, model MS966-RF single spinner spreader to <br />meet specifications enclosed with bid. <br />All equipment to be mounted to City specifications complete to <br />chassis. <br />
