<br />3. REQUEST OF COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER, INC., TO SELL FLOWERS
<br />FROM THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY - MARCH 15, 1991
<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Christine L. Neander, RSVP
<br />Coordinator, Community Resource Center, Inc., 914 Lincolnway
<br />West, South Bend, Indiana, advised that she is writing on
<br />behalf of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for permission
<br />to sell green carnations from the sidewalk by the north
<br />entrance of the County -City Building on Friday, March 15,
<br />1991. All proceeds from what the volunteers sell at the St.
<br />Patrick's Day Green Carnation Sale will benefit the Retired
<br />Senior Volunteer Program.
<br />4. REQUEST OF HOSPICE OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INC.. TO CONDUCT 6TH
<br />ANNUAL WALK FOR HOSPICE - OCTOBER 13, 1991
<br />Mr. Mark M. Murray, Assistant Executive Director, Hospice of
<br />St. Joseph County, Inc., 108 North Main Street, Suites
<br />111-113, South Bend, Indiana, advised that Hospice of St.
<br />Joseph County, Inc. would like permission to conduct its
<br />6th Annual Walk for Hospice on Sunday, October 13, 1991. The
<br />Walk would be a 17K Walk which would begin and end at
<br />Potawatomi Park. Registration at the park would begin at
<br />12:00 noon with the Walk commencing at 1:00 p.m. Because the
<br />Walk route is not lengthy (about ten (10) miles), they would
<br />expect to be finished by approximately 5:00 p.m.
<br />Mr. Murray submitted with the request the route which will be
<br />utilized for this event.
<br />5. REQUEST OF MAURICE MATTHYS LITTLE LEAGUE TO CONDUCT PARADE -
<br />MAY 11, 1991
<br />Ms. Diane Lewandowski, Opening Day Chairman, Maurice Matthys
<br />Little League, 2130 South Warren Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />requested permission to conduct the annual Maurice Matthys
<br />Little League Opening Day Parade, consisting of approximately
<br />sixty (60) vehicles on Saturday, May 11, 1991 beginning at
<br />9:00 a.m. and utilizing the following route:
<br />Begin at Matthys Little League Ball Park, proceed
<br />East on Meadow Lane to Edison, North on Edison
<br />and Villageway to Washington, East on Washington
<br />to Gladstone to Linden, West on Linden to Lombardy
<br />Drive, south on Lombardy Drive to Ford Street, West
<br />on Ford Street to Sample Street, East on Sample
<br />Street to Evergreen to Ball park.
<br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS AND
<br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - MAPLE LANE RESERVE CENTER ACCESS ROAD
<br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. David Roos, Department of Economic
<br />Development, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt
<br />of bids for the construction of an access road to the Maple Lane
<br />School property.
<br />Mr. Leszczynski additionally noted that the appropriate Title
<br />Sheet for this project has been submitted to the Board for
<br />signature.
<br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request to
<br />advertise be approved and the Title Sheet be approved and
<br />signed. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried.
