t) s' <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 30, 1992 <br />The first east/west alley south of West Van Buren <br />Street from the west right-of-way line of North <br />Cottage Grove Avenue to the east right-of-way line <br />of the first intersecting north/south alley west of <br />North Cottage Grove Avenue for a distance of <br />approximately 128 feet and a width of approximately <br />14 feet. The part situated between lots #87 and #88 <br />in the Cushing and Lindsey subdivision to the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that the Board is in receipt of <br />favorable recommendations concerning this vacation from the Legal <br />Department, Police Department, Division of Engineering, Division <br />of Sanitation, Fire Departent and Area Plan Commission. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Board send a <br />favorable recommendation to the Common Council concerning this <br />Vacation Petition. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />REQUEST FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 1633 E. <br />BOWMAN - REFERRED <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a letter <br />from Mr. Andrew W. Mouhouse, 1633 East Bowman, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requesting that the parking space in front of his <br />residence be designated as a handicapped space. Mr. Mouhouse <br />advises that he is disabled. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that <br />this request be referred to the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. Mueller seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />REQUEST OF ERSKINE BOULEVARD RESIDENTS TO CONDUCT CANDLELIGHT <br />WALK AND CARRIAGE RIDES - DECEMBER 19 1992 - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Thomas A. Wolford, 2620 Erskine <br />Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission, on behalf <br />of the Erskine Boulevard Residents, to conduct their annual <br />Erskine Boulevard Candlelight Walk and Carriage Rides on <br />Saturday, December 19, 1992, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mr. <br />Wolford noted that this is their sixth annual Walk and it will <br />consist of luminaries, music and caroling groups, carriage rides <br />and Santa. The Walk will be conducted on the sidewalks of <br />Erskine Boulevard, from Ewing Avenue to Donmoyer Avenue. <br />Mr. Wolford further noted that as in previous years they will <br />provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the City as an <br />additional insured.. Additionally, the carriage rides will be <br />offered through Bonneyville Carriage Rides who has on file with <br />the City a Certificate of Insurance. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski <br />made a motion that this request be referred to the appropriate <br />City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. <br />Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller <br />and carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />I.
