REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 19, 1992 4. NEW INSTALLATION: LOCATION: REMARKS: No Parking Miner Street - St. Peter to Notre Dame - south side Miner Street'is 22' wide - need to take parking off south side for safety and traffic flow. APPROVE RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL LICENSE APPLICATION Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a Rubbish and Garbage Removal Service license application as follows: 1. Grayson R. Warren, Jr. 220 Seebirt Place South Bend, Indiana Mr. Leszczynski further noted that the Department of Code Enforcement has reviewed this license application and recommends approval. Additionally, the truck to be utilized by Mr. Warren has been inspected and approved by the Bureau of Solid Waste and the required inspection report was attached to the application. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the license application be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL'CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS It is noted that the Department of Code Enforcement has submitted to the Board two (2) lists indicating that thirty-one (31) City owned and miscellaneous lots have been cleaned during the period October 5, 1992 to October 10, 1992. Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the lists be filed. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Division of Engineering, recommended that the Bond for Excavation in the Streets for EIS Environmental Engineers, be approved effective October 19, 1992. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the bond be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and carried, a Certificate of Insurance received for the following was accepted and filed: 1. Majority Builders, Inc. 62900 U.S. 31 South South -Bend, Indiana 46615 APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, submitted to the Board a list indicating claims in the amount of $966,280.28 and recommended approval. Additionally, Mr. Juan Manigault, Executive Director, WDS of Northern Indiana, submitted two (2) lists containing claims in the amounts of $239,073.70 and $65,293.41 and recommended approval. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendations be accepted and the claims be approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
