REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 24, 1992 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:38 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 1992, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. <br />Mary H. Mueller present. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on <br />August 17, 1992, were approved. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - REMOVAL OF GRAFFITI FROM BRIDGES IN SOUTH <br />BEND <br />It is noted that this was the date set for the receiving and <br />opening of sealed Quotations for the above referred to project <br />which entails the removal of graffiti from three (3) concrete <br />railroad bridges at Twyckenham Drive, north of Mishawaka Avenue; <br />Sunnyside, south of Longfellow Street and Leeper Avenue, north of <br />North Shore Drive. <br />The following Quotations were opened and read: <br />JAG INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE <br />1400 South Main Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46613 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. M. Hall, Representative. <br />QUOTATION: $14,382.00 for all three (3) locations including <br />concrete sidewalks <br />SPARKLE WASH OF MICHIANA <br />P.O. Box 406 <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46546-0406 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Mike Allen. <br />QUOTATION: $9,027.00 total cost for three (3) bridges, 6,018 <br />square foot of surface to remove graffiti x $1.50 <br />per square foot. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the above Quotations were referred to the <br />Engineering Department for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING <br />FIRE STATION #3 - 180 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the <br />receipt of Quotations for the above referred to remodeling at <br />Fire Station #3. Gosc, Chief Estimator. <br />QUOTATION: $16,866.00 <br />
